The 1988 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final was a hurling match which took place on Sunday, 4 September 1988 at Croke Park between Galway and Tipperary and had an attendance of 63,545 The Final score saw Galway winners 1-15 to 0 -14
The great Tony Keady got man of the match that day playing centre back scoring 2 points. Conor Hayes was Captain and lifted the Liam McCarthy Cup.
The Number 6 Jersey was worn by Tony Keady. Tony played for Galway from 1985 to 1993 and has 2 All- Irelands, 2 NHL’s and 2 All Stars to show for his time.
This Jersey was designed by Cul Sliotars in partnership with Hurling for Cancer Research. €5 from each Jersey sold is donated to this great cause.
